16th August 2011
Windsurfing: Felixstowe Manor
Wind Direction: Southerly
Wind Stength: F3 - F4+
Surf / Sea State: flat to bumpy
Air Temperature: warm
Sea Temperature: warm
Weather: warm
Max Speed: 23.2 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: not sure

Went straight to Manor end 4.30 and Colsey was just launching 12M/Formula with the wind about 13kts. The sea at the Manor was perfect, with rolling waves or flat at the top end.
Rigged 9.5M/ Longbd just to travel with DC and practice on the LongBd, after taking a beating from Rog and Neil Sat.
DC disappeared as I launch so broad reach flat out to the Dip (23kts max) then hit a **cking lobster pot at the fludge where the water was well rough. Stripped the thread from the front fin insert, stripped the thread of the harness webbing and wacked the sail. It took 20 mins to recover.
Why do we sail at the dip, its *hit. There was no wind there and the sea was big. No one out so started the beat back, and was glad to see the back of the place. Approaching the Manor the sea was perfect again and caught up with Starboard Nick and DC on the beat hoping to wind them up, to chase me.
Alas I was ignored as they seem to be fine tuning their gear. 12M must have been a handful as the wind was now top F4, as I had a great beat to the docks.
The surf on the reef there was superb, just like el medano seperate, so stayed there for a while.
Had another horrendouus ground out on the reef, which was at least 500M off shore, but fortunately this time, there was no damage, but had to sail very carefull thru it.
Nick was tempted, but would have shagged Andy M's fin if he had tried! 12" of water and 70cm fin..mmmm
Spent the rest of the time buzzing the Manor, absolutely superb. There was 4 other sailors on 6.5 or 7.0M blasting on short bds + DC and Nick flying on the F1's
We left the water about 8.00 so 2.5hrs of great sailing
Manor end 10********* Dip end - 10*
